The American Express (Amex) 2-for-1 vouchers continue to be a unique benefit for SAS Amex cardholders in Sweden and Norway. These companion vouchers allow the cardholder to book a second ticket for a companion using only points, making it a powerful tool for maximizing EuroBonus rewards.
With SAS’s transition from Star Alliance to SkyTeam, the utility of these vouchers has evolved. While historically popular for securing award flights with Star Alliance airlines (like booking Lufthansa First), these vouchers now focus on SAS and SkyTeam partners, with some key changes in eligible routes and airlines.
Most vouchers expire every year on December 31st. As we get close to the date, we look at some redemption opportunities we love already. Let’s get started!
UPDATE 11 DECEMBER 2024: On December 11, 2024, SAS confirmed has confirmed to EuroBonusguide that all Amex 2-for-1 vouchers, have now an extended period of validity up to and including March 31, 2025.
