On July 31st, 2024, SAS hosted a Q&A event on Instagram covering many questions about the transition to SkyTeam, especially for their EuroBonus members. One of the questions that arose was about the possibility of using EuroBonus points to book First Class award flights on SkyTeam airlines. Good news! According to the airline confirmation, it is possible to book First Class on China Eastern, Saudia, and Garuda Indonesia.

Book Online or via Phone?

There are still many questions about how to book these awards and whether they will be available via the online booking portal or only by calling the contact center. We’ll monitor the situation closely and update this post with the latest information.

SkyTeam Airlines with First Class

SkyTeam still fields only six genuine First Class products in 2025: Air France La Première, Garuda Indonesia First Suite, China Eastern First Class, Korean Air Kosmo Suite 2.0, Saudia First Suite, and XiamenAir First Class, with Air France topping the rankings and Garuda redirecting its sole First-Class service to Jakarta–Tokyo.

How To First Class Award Flights with SAS EuroBonus

1. Go to AwardFares

2. Under Frequent Flyer Program, choose SAS EuroBonus

3. Tap on Cabin and select First Class only

4. Under Departure and Destination, specify origin and arrival airport(s)

For example Jakarta (CGK) to Tokyo Haneda (HND)

5. Choose a date

Or use the Timeline view to explore flights for different dates.

6. Expand details, filter by price

Use the search results header to sort by price and see the cheapest redemptions on the top. Tap on any results to see the final price including taxes and fees.
