SAS holds private events for EuroBonus Diamond members where they share updates and answer questions directly. At the November 2025 events (held in Oslo, Copenhagen, and Stockholm), members asked specifically about First Class award flights. Here’s what SAS representatives confirmed:

  • Air France La Première: Not happening. There are no plans to make Air France First Class bookable with EuroBonus points.
  • Garuda Indonesia & China Eastern: These are still planned, but it’s not a priority. SAS acknowledged that Garuda’s First Class is limited to a single route (Jakarta–Tokyo), which reduces its practical value.
  • Saudia: The SAS representative apparently didn’t know that Saudia offers First Class, suggesting this isn’t on their radar at all.
  • Premium Economy is the priority: SAS stated unprompted that they’re focusing on Premium Economy redemptions with partners instead, with an expected timeline of around 2026.
