Eligible spend includes the base fare and carrier-imposed charges (YQ and YR) for flights, but not non-airline taxes or fees. For holiday packages, eligible spend is the total cost of the booking. Add-ons like extra baggage, seat selection, and upgrades also count.

How will Tier Points work for British Airways Holidays bookings?

For holidays departing from 1 April 2025, Tier Points will be earned on the total cost of the package, split evenly among passengers on the booking. For example:

  • A package costing £1,000 for two people will earn 500 Tier Points per person after the trip is completed. Members will also continue to earn Avios for individual flights within the package.

Will Tier Points be affected if I book in another currency?

Yes. Eligible spend in foreign currencies will be converted to GBP using exchange rates set by IATA or OANDA, depending on the type of booking. Tier Points will then be calculated based on the converted amount.

When will Tier Points be credited to my account?

Tier Points for flights and add-ons are credited up to three days after the flight. For British Airways Holidays packages, Tier Points will be credited within 14 days after the trip is completed.

Can I earn Tier Points for others on my booking?

No, Tier Points can only be earned for flights and packages you personally take. For holiday packages, Tier Points are split among all passengers listed in the booking who are members of the British Airways Club.

How many Tier Points are required for each Tier level starting 1 April 2025?
