Alaska Airlines is adding a new way to travel to the Philippines, and it’s powered by points. Philippine Airlines is now the 32nd global partner in the Alaska Mileage Plan, opening up new opportunities to earn and redeem miles across the Pacific.

Starting soon, Mileage Plan members can book Philippine Airlines flights on alaskaair.com, including nonstop service to Manila from Alaska’s hubs in Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. Even better, members will earn full mileage credit and premium bonuses on these flights.

What’s Included in the New Partnership

Mileage Plan members will be able to:

  • Book Philippine Airlines flights on alaskaair.com
  • Earn miles on all eligible flights (100% of distance flown in economy, up to 250% in business)
  • Redeem miles for travel to destinations across the Philippines and Asia
  • Connect seamlessly through Manila to islands like Palawan, Boracay, and more

This marks Philippine Airlines’ first frequent flyer partnership in North America, and it’s a big win for those with ties to Filipino communities in Hawai‘i, California, and Washington State.

Coming Soon: Earn and Redeem Alaska Miles on Philippine Airlines Flights

Once live, Mileage Plan members will be able to earn and redeem miles on Philippine Airlines flights. While the earning rates haven’t been published yet, we do have a sense of what award pricing will look like.

Alaska uses a distance-based partner award chart, and for flights between North America and the Asia Pacific region, the chart currently looks like this:

Distance (miles) Economy (starting at) Premium Economy (starting at) Business (starting at) First (starting at)
Less than 1,500 7,500 10,000 15,000 22,500
1,501–3,000 25,000 32,500 50,000 75,000
3,001–5,000 30,000 40,000 60,000 90,000
5,001–7,000 37,500 50,000 75,000 110,000
7,001–10,000 42,500 55,000 85,000 130,000
10,000 and above 65,000 85,000 130,000 195,000

Assuming Alaska applies this chart to Philippine Airlines award flights, you should soon be able to book a one-way ticket from the West Coast to Manila for 42,500 miles in economy or 85,000 miles in business class.

Bonus: Hawaiian Airlines Integration

The partnership is also expanding to HawaiianMiles members, who will soon be able to earn and redeem miles on Philippine Airlines using their linked Mileage Plan accounts. Elite status holders from either program will also receive reciprocal benefits.
