Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and Vietnam Airlines have announced a new codeshare partnership, expanding travel options between Scandinavia and Vietnam. The agreement links major cities across both regions, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City, via better and smoother itineraries, frequent flyer benefits, and network coverage.

What Travelers Can Expect

  • More Seamless Travel: It’s now possible to book a single itinerary with flight segments operated by either airline, simplifying connections between Northern Europe and Southeast Asia.
  • Loyalty Program Integration: Members of both SAS EuroBonus and Vietnam Airlines LotusMiles will be able to earn and redeem points across the two networks.
  • SkyTeam Synergy: As both carriers are members of SkyTeam, elite members can expect reciprocal benefits such as lounge access, priority services, and extra baggage allowance.

When Will It Start?

The announcement was made during the Vietnam–Sweden Business Forum, in conjunction with the official visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Sweden. The agreement was welcomed by both governments and is seen as a step toward strengthening economic and cultural ties between the two regions.
