Some time ago SAS started testing out a brand new beta website for EuroBonus award searches under the subdomain future.flysas.com. SAS is now rolling out a completely redesigned homepage, signaling a broader refresh of the entire flysas.com experience.

The new homepage can be accessed directly via the top bar from the Nordic homepages (Sweden, Norway, Denmark). It’s hosted under beta.flysas.com and features a sleek, modern design with improved navigation and performance. Compared to the previous interface, the new version is much more visual and lighter in tone, offering a different layout for booking flights, accessing EuroBonus features, and managing trips.

Let’s have a look at all the changes.

A Quick Look at SAS New Redesigned Website (beta.flysas.com)

The overall look-and-feel aligns with SAS’s brand identity, but now leave behind the heavy blue tones for a lighter palette, similar to the recent Korean Air’s rebrand.

On the new site, there’s a collapsible navigation bar on the left that condenses all the main options that were in the top navigation bar before: Book, My Trips, Check-in, Low Fare Calendar, Destinations, EuroBonus, Award Finder, and Help & Info.

Book

The Book section is similar to the previous version with slight tweaks. There is now a SAS icon right next to the destination, which we assume is to show destinations operated by SAS. Interestingly, it doesn’t fully work, as the icon is displayed in all destinations. The calendar view is larger. The flight selection screens are identical to the old version, with brand-new colors.

My Trips & Check In

The trip manager and check-in pages are straightforward, with input fields for the PNR and last name.

Low Fare Calendar (Lågpriskalender/Lavpriskalender)

The new Low Fare Calendar screen is a replica of the one before in the new color palette and has direct access from the navigation pane.

The Destinations section now includes an interactive map that helps you explore all the different destinations by SAS and some partners across the continents.

Award Finder

We’ve briefly covered the new Award Finder section in our previous post, with new features now helping you explore, again, similar to what Korean Air SKYPASS offers to their members. Availability is not live/fresh, but it’s a good indication.

Limitations: Keep in mind that SAS’ new website updates once a day, unlike AwardFares, which fetches real-time data from EuroBonus inventory.

Help & Info

The new Help & Info section is meant to condense several links and sections that today are under Travel Info and partially under EuroBonus. Interestingly, while the homepage and navigation are updated, some tools still redirect to the old site or give 404 errors. This hybrid experience suggests SAS is rolling out changes incrementally, with more updates likely to follow in the coming weeks.

EuroBonus

The EuroBonus profile pages are the ones likely to receive mixed feedback; while some members will certainly appreciate the changes and simplified process, it’s always a struggle to move things around, as it imposes some friction to learn the new site. Certainly, members will appreciate an easier way to see their qualifying activity and progress toward status tiers

As covered in our previous post, the new award search tool is still live under the “Award Finder” section, with a calendar view and a much cleaner interface. However, it only updates once a day, meaning that availability may be outdated by the time you see it.

For those seeking real-time EuroBonus award availability, we highly recommend using AwardFares, which taps directly into SAS’s systems and updates in seconds.
