Premium cardholders will no longer be able to use vouchers for Business Class travel (though existing vouchers are safe!), while Elite cardholders will see a shift in how they earn Level Points, moving to a system based on spending rather than a fixed annual award. Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know and all the details on how these changes might affect you.

Changes to SAS Amex Premium in 2025

Goodbye, Business Class with vouchers: As of April 1, 2025, you will no longer be able to use your SAS Amex Premium voucher to book Business Class travel. This applies to vouchers issued after April 1st, 2025.

• Good news for existing voucher holders: If you earned a voucher in 2024, you can still use it to book Business Class travel, even after April 1st. Even if you need to rebook or cancel your trip after April 1st, your voucher will retain its Business Class booking capability.
• This change applies to both SAS and SkyTeam flights.

Changes to SAS Amex Elite in 2025

• New way to earn Level Points: Instead of receiving 20,000 Level Points annually, you’ll earn 6 Level Points for every 100 SEK spent on your card.
• No more cap on points: This means you can potentially earn enough points to reach Diamond level just by spending on your card!
• When will you get your points? Your points will be added to your EuroBonus account on the 8th of each month for the previous month’s spending.
• Where can you track your points? Check your “My Profile” section on sas.se or the Amex SE app.

Important Notes for Elite Cardholders

• What about my current 20,000 Level Points? If you haven’t received your 20,000 Level Points for the current EuroBonus qualification period then you will still receive them around April 1, 2025 (regardless of when you would normally receive them). This is a one-time adjustment due to the change in the points system.
• Where can I find my EuroBonus qualification period? Log in to sas.se and go to “View Profile” or check the “Me” section in the SAS app. Click on your EuroBonus level name and scroll down.
• How can I see if I’ve received my 20,000 Level Points? Go to “View Profile” on sas.se and scroll down to “Latest Activities,” or check “Latest Activities” in the “Me” section of the SAS app.

How to Check Key Information About Your Account

To check your EuroBonus Qualifying Period, log in to sas.se and go to “My Profile,” or check the SAS app under “Me.” Tap on your EuroBonus level name (Member, Silver, Gold, etc.) and scroll down. To check Past and Upcoming Level Point Transfers, go to “Latest Activities” under “My Profile,” or in the SAS app under “Me.”
