JetBlue has unveiled its latest special livery, the Cloudtop Cruiser (N561JB), an Airbus A320-200 wrapped in a vibrant design featuring Nintendo’s Super Mario characters, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Bowser. The aircraft replaces its former “La Vie en Blue” name and “Tartan” tail design.

The livery includes bold blue, yellow, and red hues with character decals, while seatback screens display Mario-themed welcome messages. JetBlue calls it a “sky-high tribute” to create a Mushroom Kingdom adventure vibe, targeting families with free snacks, kid-friendly entertainment, and interactive games.

• Aircraft Specs: At 22.2 years old, N561JB is slightly older than JetBlue’s average A320 (19.5 years). It was reconfigured in 2016 to a 162-seat, one-class layout.

This collaboration follows JetBlue’s 2023 Nintendo activations at JFK Terminal 5, including a Mario meet-and-greet and a “Nintendo Switch On the Go” pop-up. More events are planned for 2025.

Special liveries serve as flying billboards for brands. Competitors like Spirit Airlines (Super Nintendo World A320neo decals in 2023) and Southwest (2019 Nintendo Switch giveaways) have leveraged similar gaming partnerships.
