Two of Scandinavia’s most powerful loyalty programs, SAS EuroBonus and Scandic Friends, are now fully integrated. You can now link your accounts, enjoy automatic status matches, and soon exchange points freely between the two platforms. This integration mimicks other succesful airline-hotel partnerships in the past (Delta, Marriott, American, Hyatt, etc.) and will make the whole experience better for Scandinavia-based travelers.

How It Works: Link Your Accounts
To start earning and redeeming across both programs, simply link your EuroBonus and Scandic Friends accounts:
- Log in to your EuroBonus account.
- Follow the prompt to sign in or create a Scandic Friends account.
- Accept the Terms & Conditions.
- Done! Your accounts are linked and your status will automatically upgrade if eligible.
📝 Note: You must be a member of at least one program for 30+ days to link your accounts. Membership details (name, DOB, email) must match across both.
Instant Status Matching Between SAS EuroBonus & Scandic Friends
Once linked, your highest elite status in either program will carry over to the other. Here’s how the status matching works:
From EuroBonus → Scandic Friends:
EuroBonus Tier | Scandic Friends Tier |
---|---|
Diamond | Level 6 (True Friend) |
Gold | Level 5 (Loyal Friend) |
Silver | Level 4 (Dear Friend) |
From Scandic Friends → EuroBonus:
Scandic Friends Tier | EuroBonus Tier |
---|---|
Level 6 or 7 | Diamond |
Level 5 | Gold |
Level 4 | Silver |
Important: Scandic Friends status must be earned (not just matched) to qualify for EuroBonus upgrades.

Exchange Points Between Programs (Coming Soon)
One of the most anticipated features of this partnership is points exchange—allowing you to transfer points between the two programs for free.
Conversion Rate:
- 1 EuroBonus point = 2 Scandic Friends points
- 2 Scandic Friends points = 1 EuroBonus point
Transfers are free and instant, with a few caveats:
- Points will retain their original expiration, but only up to 12 months.
- Level points are not transferable, only bonus/redeemable points.
- You can reverse the exchange by transferring back the same amount at no cost.
🧮 Want to stretch your points further? EuroBonus members can already book Scandic stays from 15,000 points.
What Happens If You Upgrade or Downgrade?
- ✅ Upgraded status in one program leads to automatic upgrade in the other (EuroBonus > Scandic).
- 🔁 Scandic > EuroBonus requires you to manually request a re-match.
- ⬇️ If you’re downgraded in one program, the other will follow suit (soft landing applies for EuroBonus).
