Delta Air Lines just announced that is refreshing its fleet new cabin interior, offering enhanced comfort and a more uniform and consistent style across all classes of service. The first aircraft featuring these updates—a narrowbody Boeing 757—will fly domestic and short-haul international routes this fall, with a widebody Airbus A350 joining long-haul international routes in early 2025. Let’s have a look at all the changes!
Delta now offers quite a few routes to Tokyo, including Seattle (SEA), Los Angeles (LAX), Minneapolis (MSP), Detroit (DTW), Atlanta (ATL), and Honolulu (HNL). All routes fly to Haneda (HND). However, the new Delta One Suites are only available on two planes Delta flies: the Airbus A350-900 and the Airbus A330-900neo. On the routes crossing the Pacific to Asia, Australia, and Oceania, you’re basically guaranteed to be on a plane with the new Delta One Suites. For other routes, you’ll have to check carefully what aircraft/cabin is being used!
On a recent trip out of Tokyo Haneda (HND) airport, I had a chance to visit the Delta Sky Club for the first time. Their lounge in Tokyo is actually the only international location offered by Delta, and it might be one of the best Delta Sky Club lounges I’ve visited.
Delta Air Lines is making it easier for people to visit warm places in Latin America and the Caribbean by increasing its flights from Atlanta, New York-JFK, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. The airline will start flying to new places like Barbados, Puerto Plata, Mazatlán, and will fly more often to Curaçao.
Delta Air Lines just announced that it will enhance its Asian network by introducing a daily direct flight from Seattle (SEA) to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), starting June 6, 2024, subject to government approval. This route marks a significant milestone as Delta’s first nonstop flight from the U.S. to Taipei and signifies the airline’s return to TPE since its last operation through Narita in 2017.
Delta SkyMiles, Delta Air Lines’ loyalty program, has one of the widest arrays of redemption options, not only regarding routes but also partner airlines. Recent announcements have upset a large portion of their members with significant changes for 2024 because it will be harder and more expensive to qualify for elite status.
Delta SkyMiles has been one of the most acclaimed frequent flyer programs in the United States, carving out a reputation for its flexibility, lack of blackout dates, and a wide array of redemption options. Despite recently upsetting a large portion of their members with major changes for 2024, it remains among the best options to redeem award flights on SkyTeam airlines and stands firm for great earning options and seat availability.
