American Airlines is improving the in-flight experience for summer 2025 across all cabins. On June 11, it will roll out European-inspired meals in Flagship Business and Flagship Suite on key transatlantic routes. Meanwhile, starting June 1, economy passengers will see new sliders, tapas and Texas-sourced tequila in the buy-on-board menu. Premium cabins also gain a new midday snack basket. European-Inspired Dining in Premium Cabins

To celebrate new summer routes to Venice, Naples, Edinburgh and beyond, American is launching a curated series of inflight menus that mirror the flavors of Europe. Customers in Flagship Business, Flagship Suite Preferred and Flagship Suite seats on routes to Paris, Rome, Barcelona, London, Dublin and other European hubs can look forward to:

More Flexibility: Extended Preorder Window

Starting in June, the preorder cutoff moves from 16 to 20 hours before departure. This gives customers who receive last-minute upgrades extra time to choose their inflight meal. American is also testing afternoon tea service on flights departing from London (LHR) and Paris (CDG).

New Economy Buy-On-Board Selections

From June 1, Main Cabin passengers on flights over 1,100 miles will find a refreshed buy-on-board menu featuring:

  • A steak and pimento cheese slider
  • Tray Table Tapas (olives, dried apricots, beef jerky, pistachio, white cheddar dip, pita chips, brownie brittle)
  • Brooklyn Biltong Steakhouse air-dried beef jerky
  • Socorro Tequila from Dallas-Fort Worth’s own distillery, crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave
