American Airlines has just opened two sleek new lounges in Terminal A-West at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Spanning a combined 25,000 square feet, the Flagship and Admirals Club lounges are designed to give frequent flyers and premium cabin travelers a calm, comfortable space before departure.
Since May 22, eligible AAdvantage and oneworld elite members—as well as customers in premium cabins—can enjoy upgraded amenities, local chef-driven dining and modern workstations just steps from gates A15 and A16.

Thoughtful Design & Local Flair
Both lounges share a reception lobby with eGates and guest service desks. From there, you can choose between:
- Flagship Lounge: Warm woods, zoned lighting and panoramic runway views. Guests get a welcome glass of champagne and access to private work pods, spa-style showers and artwork inspired by Philadelphia landmarks.
- Admirals Club: A refreshed take on the classic club with specialty coffee, a full-service bar, a family-friendly play area and flexible seating for work or relaxation.
Natural materials and ambient music help create an atmosphere that feels more like a boutique hotel than an airport waiting area.

Dining and Drinks
American tapped Philly chef Randy Rucker to craft rotating seasonal menus in the Flagship Lounge. Highlights include:
- Signature cheesesteak and roast pork sandwiches
- Whipped ricotta and blistered tomato toasts
- Artisanal water ice station and candy buffet
The full-service bar offers a curated wine list, craft cocktails (including two secret mixes) and local beer selections. In the Admirals Club, you’ll find self-serve buffets, Don Francisco coffee and a streamlined bar menu.
